Omnipod

Omnipod is the last Mono/Tripod for your DSLR, Phone or GoPro you will ever need. A lightweight, all-in-one solution for every moment.

This was an idea I had in late-2015.  I launched it on the crowdfunding site, Kickstater.  It was immediately successful, being in the top 20 most popular projects at the time.  Unfortunately, similar variants already existed in international markets that were somewhat close to the Omnipod idea.  After discussion with both the factory and gathering insight from some of the photographers who backed the project, I decided to cancel the campaign, in turn refunding everyone's money.  At the time of cancellation, the campaign was trending towards $110,000, raising $17,765 from 100+ people in 30+ different countries within just a few days.

2 years later I came up with a new iteration that both myself and some backers who kept in touch figured was unique enough to put back on the market.

I ultimately decided to skip crowdfunding and go straight to retail with the original success of the idea.  An eCommerce website and FBA web store were launched, and within the year sold over $10,000 worth of units within the year.  10+ complimentary products such as lightweight lens hoods and equipment bags were added to the catalog.

More success followed, but Omnipod and the additional products were discontinued in mid-2018 because of personal time constraints and to pursue other creative verticals.  Both the website and amazon portal have been deleted.  The Kickstarter campaign is still online because of archive policies.  You may visit some of the original media below.
